Lecturer in Human Geography, Monash University

Svenja is a social scientist who researches the impacts of, and responses to, Australia's changing climate. Her recent work focuses on Australian climate adaptation policy and the sources of expertise governments and businesses use to inform their adaptation programs and activities, particularly commercial providers like consultants.

Svenja is a Lecturer in Human Geography at Monash University, teaching in corporate sustainability, disaster resilience, sustainability and climate/environmental policy. She has held postdoctoral positions at the Melbourne Sustainable Society Institute and the Australian-German Energy Transitions Hub at the University of Melbourne, where she completed her doctoral research.

Svenja also has more than a decade's professional experience working in environmental planning and sustainability in Australia and the UK.
