Associate Professor, Forest Resources Management, University of Ilorin

Dr Amusa is an Associate Professor in the Department of Forest Resources Management, University of Ilorin, Nigeria. He holds a PhD in forest management and biodiversity conservation. His research work covers a diverse suite of activities and competences blending socio-economic perspectives of renewable tropical natural resources management with conservation ecology and other concerns that would engender sustainability. He is particularly interested in research that explores the socio-ecological systems framework for natural resource assessment and management. He has proficiency in forest management, ecosystem functioning, biodiversity conservation, environmental impact assessment and natural resource economics and feasibility studies. He has participated in several research and developmental projects within and outside the country.
