I earned a B.A. in Political Science and Philosophy from Washington University in St. Louis, a Master of Social Work from San Francisco State University, and a Ph.D. from Saint Louis University in Public & Social Policy. I have over ten years of practice experience in the areas of child welfare, mental health, and poverty alleviation.
My research interests include labor and urban policy, violence prevention, cultural diversity, and the evaluation of social services. I currently teach American government, law courses for undergraduates, and diversity issues within politics at Purdue University Northwest.
