Tess has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Queensland in Economics, Journalism and Peace and Conflict Studies.

She is currently studying a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) at Queensland University of Technology, where she works as a Research Assistant in the Law Faculty, looking at peer economy regulation, innovation and internet governance.

Tess has written for advocacy group Digital Rights Watch, and is Founder and CEO of The Light Bulb Exchange, a student-based policy think tank.
