PhD Candidate and Teaching Assistant, University of Kassel

Thuy Tran is passionate about academic research. Her research focuses on Environmental Management Accounting (EMA), Material Flow Cost Accounting (MFCA), Accounting for Planetary Boundaries, Sustainability Reporting, and Sustainability Accounting Education.

Thuy Tran is currently responsible for E-learning project management concerning EMA and MFCA, funded by the Teaching Development Centre of the University of Kassel, Germany. In the past, she was a board member of the Vietnamese Excellent Teaching (VNET) which is a non-profit educational community gathering passionate lecturers from various organizations.

Thuy Tran has significant experience in teaching at both postgraduate and undergraduate levels. Since 2018, she has taught the master module “Management and Management Accounting” at the University of Kassel. Besides, she has taught over eight years “Accounting Information Systems” at the undergraduate level.
