Thuy Tran is a Ph.D. researcher at the School of Culture and Communication, Faculty of Arts, University of Melbourne, and the School of Arts, Languages, and Cultures, Faculty of Humanities, University of Manchester. Her Ph.D. studies the translation of new cultural policy concepts and narratives into Vietnam through the work of international organizations, notably UNESCO. Thuy has also been researching the financial, organizational, and social impact negotiations practiced by local arts organizations in Vietnam. Her research interests include cultural and creative industries, cultural policy, policy translation, and international organizations.
