Research Assistant in Systems Engineering, University of Virginia

Tianshu Li is a Ph.D. candidate (Systems Engineering) in the MOB Lab. She received her B.S. in Civil Engineering from Southeast University in Nanjing, China and her M.S. in Civil Engineering (Concentration: Advanced Infrastructure Systems) from Carnegie Mellon University. Tianshu is currently working on information extraction from untapped domain datasets such as inspection reports and maintenance records. With massive data from the bridge inventory and the inspection logs, she is also exploring the inherent mapping of local bridge conditions to a condition rating. The goal of her work is to provide condition insights and automated condition rating models to achieve more efficient infrastructure management.
