I am an experienced researcher and teacher in the area of health policy and health systems. My PhD is in Political Science, and I have taught public policy, health policy and public management for 25 years. I have published widely on New Zealand health system issues, particularly the implementation of the DHB system in the 2000s, and the implementation of performance management (eg health targets) in the health sector.
