Dr. Tim Werner is an ARC DECRA fellow at the University of Melbourne School of Geography, Earth and Atmospheric Sciences. With a background in environmental engineering and geographical science, his research employs mixed methods from economic geology, industrial ecology, GIS and remote sensing to analyse various aspects of land use change, mining and metal supply chains. He has a particular interest in issues around critical metals/critical minerals, and finding ways to promote mining with minimal impacts on landscapes.
