Senior Lecturer in Environmental Sciences, Macquarie University

Tim is an environmental scientist whose research focuses on the geomorphology of rivers and wetlands in dry landscapes (drylands). To date he has worked extensively in Australia and parts of Africa, where his research seeks to understand the links between fluvial processes and landforms, sediment dynamics, and aquatic ecosystem function in the context of long-term landscape evolution and environmental change. Tim is also involved in national and international research and training programs for the assessment of soil erosion and sediment transport in catchments using nuclear techniques. Prior to becoming a Lecturer at Macquarie University (Sydney, Australia), Tim was a Senior Environmental Scientist with the New South Wales government.
