Tiziana Ferrero-Regis

Senior Lecturer, Study Area Coordinator, Fashion, Queensland University of Technology

I worked in the fashion industry in the global fashion hub of Milan at Vogue Italia. After moving to Australia, I obtained my doctoral qualification and started working as a sessional. In 2008I was employed at QUT, in fashion, teaching in fashion studies. Specifically, I have taught Fashion history, Critical fashion studies, Fashion & style journalism and Fashion and costume in Film, as well as Design history. I have published on fashion and place/space (Italy, China), independent fashion designers in Brisbane, cycling and high-performance kits, athleisure and Lorna Jane, wool in Australian culture, and much more.
In the last three years, I have been the Study Area Coordinator for fashion. I am currently part of the centre TextileR, the Centre for a waste-free world, and the Centre for Justice.
