I completed a B.Sc (Hons) and then a Ph.D. in embryonic brain development at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute and the Queensland Brain Institute, University of Queensland.
I worked for five years as a scientist In Singapore before returning to Australia in 2012. Since then I have been a professional science communicator with a demonstrated history of impact in medical research communications. My current role is Communications Manager at the Murdoch Children's Research Institute.
Having a 'foot in both camps', I craft clear and concise messages in a range of media from complex inputs such as grant applications, journal articles and sector reports. These successfully engage a range of audiences including internal and external audiences - including philanthropic prospects, current donors, government and corporate leaders and the general public.
