Tom Pettinger

I am a Research Fellow at the University of Warwick working on critical security studies. My research explores terrorism and democracy, and the turn towards preemptive politics, with a particular focus on technologies that attempt to produce resilience (especially the UK's contested Prevent Strategy). I am currently working on the Research Council of Norway's RIPPLES project, where I am examining how states respond to terror - and the implications of this response for the rule of law.
