Assistant Professor of Sociology, University of Minnesota

I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Sociology at the University of Minnesota. Previously, I was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

My interests are broadly in the areas of inequality, stratification, quantitative methodology, political sociology, the sociology of development, and historical/comparative sociology.

I received my Ph.D. in Sociology from Indiana University in 2016. I hold a master's degree in applied statistics from the statistics department at Indiana University. Before attending Indiana University, I received a bachelor's degree in comparative sociology and English literature at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, WA.

My research has appeared in the American Journal of Sociology, Social Forces, Social Science Research, and the Oxford University Press.
