Umar Abdullahi

To become an excellent clinician and an advocate of public health, that will use his knowledge and skills towards creating equitable access to health care especially to the under privileged and the vulnerable population. I wish to be in an organization that will help me attain my highest potential goal. I am determined to be excellent in whatever I do through dedication, selflessness, hard-work, trustworthiness and discipline.
I currently work in Internal Medicine department of Ahmadu Bello University/ Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital Zaria, as a Lecturer and Consultant Physician/Dermatologist. This is one of the foremost Teaching Hospitals in Northern Nigeria with more than 500 beds capacity that provides tertiary level of care and training of both medical students and resident doctors in Northern Nigeria.
My areas of interest span General internal medicine, Dermatology and HIV/AIDS medicine.
My regular duties include Management of patients including running of specialist clinic in general dermatology . Where patients with different skin diseases including bullous skin diseases, sexually transmitted diseases, papulosquamous skin disorders, skin infections etc., are diagnosed and treated.
I an also actively engaged in medical research and publications,teaching and training of undergraduate medical students and postgraduate resident doctors.
