Valentina Cartei

I am an Associate Tutor in Psychology and part of the Centre for Mammal Vocal Communication Research, School of Psychology, University of Sussex, Brighton. In June 2014 I gained my PhD in Psychology with a thesis on “The Expression of Gender in the Human Voice”.

I am also Research and Volunteer Co-ordinator for Survivors' Network, Rape Crisis Centre for Sussex and have over 7 years' experience of working in the sexual violence sector, covering a variety of roles, including conducting training and research.
