Lecturer in Physical Geography, The University of the South Pacific

Victor is a meteorologist, with specialty in climatology and climate change. He holds PhD (Meteorology) from Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology (NUIST), China, attained in 2017. His PhD thesis focussed variability of extreme climate events over East Africa. Victor earned MSc and BSc (Meteorology) from University of Nairobi in Kenya in the years 2012 and 2009, respectively.

Before joining University of South Pacific (USP) in 2019 as a lecturer in Physical Geography, Victor worked as a lecturer for 5 years in Kenya. He also worked for Kenyan government as a meteorologist prior to joining education sector. His career objective is to be a competent and a life driven researcher, trainer, and author who is conscious and responsive to environmental challenges. He has taken part in a number of collaborative research activities, through which he has managed to publish widely in his area of expertise.
