I am currently a Research Associate in the Department of History at the University of York, working on the social and cultural history of face transplants as part of AboutFace, a URKI Future Leaders Fellowship project led by Dr Fay Bound Alberti. From September 2020 I will become Lecturer in Public History at the University of York
My primary research interests are in social care, health and wellbeing in the 20th and 21st centuries, with a focus on difficult and contentious histories of trauma, violence and sexual abuse. My work uses participatory, qualitative and action methodologies, working directly with individual groups affected by her work.
