Victoria is a physiotherapist and researcher, specialising in musculoskeletal health and rehabilitation. Victoria's research focuses on promoting and improving health and wellbeing for people with long term health needs. This involves developing theory-based interventions that aim to address barriers to engagement, enhance motivation and support maintenance of health enhancing behaviours. Victoria is particularly interested in promoting participation in physical activity and therapeutic exercise for both prevention and self-management of a range of long term health conditions, for example, inflammatory arthritis and urinary incontinence. This includes supporting healthcare professionals to effectively communicate with service users about health promotion and self-management strategies.
