Dr Violet Xia received a PhD in Psychology at Sydney University in 2014. She was a Lecturer in psychology at the Australian Catholic University and a Research Officer at the School of Psychology at Sydney University. She is a Lecturer in qualitative and quantitative research methods with the School of Humanities and Languages UNSW. Before undertaking this position, she worked at the School of Social Sciences UNSW, teaching into a range of courses in relation to Australia public policies as well as research methods courses in social sciences. In recent years she has focused on the application of statistical techniques and methodologies in social policy research and evaluation to inform decision making and policy development. She has recently joined IPPG UTS to conduct research in housing polices.
