Vishal Vora is a legal academic and English lawyer. He recently completed a PhD at SOAS, University of London. His research focused on the legal status of unregistered Muslim marriages in England and Wales. His broader research interests focus on the rights of minorities. He is a member of the Ministry of Justice Working Group of Muslim Marriage. Currently Vishal is engaged as a Teaching Fellow at the School of Law and teaches family law and the law of contract. He has experience of providing expert witness reports for the English courts in family law cases concerning the validity of marriage.
