Post-doctoral Researcher, Psychology, New York University

I am a post-doctoral researcher with Dr. Lila Davachi in the Department of Psychology at New York University. My research focuses on how different affective and motivational states influence neural systems underlying memory encoding. Further, I am interested in how engagement of these systems shape how representations of the environment are stored in long-term memory. My research spans across a variety of affective and motivational states, including threat, reward, novelty, and decision-making.

Prior to NYU, I received my Ph.D. in Neurobiology from Duke University with Drs. Alison Adcock and Kevin LaBar in 2011. My dissertation research focused on how reward and punishment motivation differentially influence episodic memory encoding.
