Lecturer in Social Sciences, Liverpool John Moores University

My PhD thesis was concerned with the relationship between human rights and security and the liberal state's management of this relationship post 9/11 .

More recent work has focussed on policing and security in the context of both counter-extremism polices and processes of gentrification.

After working for two years post-phd at the University of Central Lancashire, I took up my current post in the School of Humanities and Social Science at Liverpool John Moores University in September 2013. I teach on the social science programs mainly around issues of policing and security.
