William D. MacDonald

Professor Emeritus, Department of Geological Sciences, Binghamton University, State University of New York

Taught many courses during 45 years at SUNY Binghamton, like Structural Geology, Tectonics, Geophysics, Paleomagnetism, Mineral Resources, Major Meteorite Impacts, and others. Field research took me to many remote corners of the Americas, in Colombia, Honduras, Nicaragua, Venezuela, Brazil, Chile, Argentina, the Greater Antilles, and mountains of western North America from Nevada through B.C. to the Yukon and Arctic Islands. I have served as external examiner on PhD panels at Stanford, Princeton, University of Western Ontario, and the University of Geneva, Switzerland.
