Bill Lowry is a Professor of Political Science at Washington University in St. Louis. Before going into academia, he served in the U.S. Navy, worked for the National Park Service, and managed drug stores in Chicago. He received his PhD from Stanford University in 1988. He studies American politics, environmental and energy policy, and natural resource issues. He is the author of five books, numerous articles and chapters in edited volumes. He received a Distinguished Faculty Award from Washington University in 2010.
