William Mulligan

I am an historian of international relations between the 1860s and 1940s. After completing my Ph D at the University of Cambridge in 2001, I lectured at University College Dublin and the University of Glasgow. Since 2008, I have taught at UCD. I have written three books, including The Origins of the First World War (Cambridge, 2nd edition, 2017) and The Great War for PEace (Yale UP, 2014). I have held visiting fellowships at the Institutes for Advanced Study in Princeton and Berlin.
