Xiaoming Xu is an environmental scientist with special interests in developing and utilizing various ecological, statistical, and geospatial models to assess and project the impact of human activities on environmental change. His research topics include quantification of agriculture-related greenhouse gas emissions, estimation of dynamics and drivers of land use and land cover change at different spatiotemporal scales, and estimating the impact of external forcing on terrestrial ecosystem processes.
