Yvonne O'Connor

Dr O' Connor is a lecturer within Business Information System and is a Senior Researcher within the Health Information Systems Research Centre (HISRC), Business Information Systems, Cork University Business School at University College Cork. As a committed researcher and lecturer with many years’ experience at a leading academic institution in Ireland, Yvonne has completed a number of presentations at international conferences and has numerous publications in high impact peer-reviewed journals in the Health Informatics and Information Systems domains. She has also successfully acquired research funding from the Irish Research Council & Wellcome Trust UK, amongst others. She currently serves on the Editorial Board of two journals (Health Policy & Technology and the International Journal of Reliable and Quality E-Healthcare), a further reflection of her success to date in academia. Her teaching style has also progressed in successfully delivering a range of core Information Systems/eHealth subjects to various class sizes, ranging from 8 to 180 student participants. She currently co-directs the MSc Management Information and Managerial Accounting Systems (MSc MIMAS) and MSc Digital Health programmes in UCC (Executive Education).
