PhD candidate in agroecology, University of Cape Town

Zander Venter is pursuing his PhD in agroecology at the University of Cape Town and works part-time as a remote sensing consultant and organic farm inspector. His research focuses on the complex interaction between livestock and grass in African rangelands, attempting to test management practices that mimic the way wild herbivores graze. He aims to continue working in the space between agroecological research and its application to the agricultural value chain
