Reducing collateral damage by better identifying cane toads

People capture and kill cane toads to prevent further spread of the invasive species, but in two thirds of cases they’re mistakenly killing native frogs.

To combat this, University of Western Australia researchers have developed an app to help users tell the difference between species.

The Cane Toad app is hoped to better educate people and protect our native frogs.
