You can look and touch - and earlier is better

Haptic devices - objects that stimulate the sense of touch - should be used as early as possible by people with visual prosthetics.

Researchers at Monash University suggest inputs from haptic devices work in conjunction with inputs from visual prosthetics, to help patients better perceive their surroundings.
