Magali Della Sudda is permanent researcher in Political science at the CNRS – Centre Emile Durkheim in Bordeaux and lecturer at the Political Science Institute of Bordeaux (France). She was Marie Curie Fellow at the European University Institute of Florence (2009-11) and Post-doc at the Ecole française de Rome (2008-09). Specialist of historical sociology and social movement, she is leading a national mix-methods research on the Yellow Vests Movement (ANR GILETSJAUNES). Visiting Scholar at the Center for Advanced Study in the Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University (2021-21). Her PhD on women's politicization in France and Italy before 1945, illuminates the crucial rôle of the Catholic Church in women's citizenship and political behavior. Her current work on conservative women sheds light on the emergence of conservative ecofeminism and “new right-wing women”.
