Abdelaziz Smouni

My team, at the Laboratory of Plant Biotechnology and Physiology (BioPV) at Mohammed V University in Rabat, is focused on plant resistance to abiotic stresses, with specific expertise in plant response and adaptation to heavy metals. We use a wide range of techniques in physiology, biochemistry, tissue culture, and molecular biology, as well as transcriptomics and functional analysis tools to understand better the mechanisms of plant tolerance and accumulation of heavy metals.
