Adeyemi Oladapo Aremu is based at the Centre for Indigenous Knowledge Systems, North West University, South Africa. He is also an Associate Researcher with the School of Life Sciences, University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. He holds a BSc (Hons, 2006) Botany degree from Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Nigeria while his MSc (Ethnobotany cum lauda, 2010) and PhD (Botany, 2013) degrees were obtained from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. Adeyemi is currently leading a research team focusing on the value-chain of African floras especially those with medicinal, horticultural and nutritional potential. He is a highly-motivated and recognized as established researcher (C-rated Scientist) by the South African National Research Foundation (NRF). He serves as an Associate Editor for BMC Complementary Medicine and Therapies, Mini-Reviews in Medicinal Chemistry and on the Editorial Board of the South African Journal of Botany.
