Amalio is an EPSRC Early Career Fellow at the University of Glasgow, where he investigates new ways to fabricate nanomagnets, aiming to create a new generation of spintronic devices. He is recognised worldwide as an expert in 3D nano-printing of magnetic materials using electron microscopy, being also an expert in magneto-optics and thin film deposition.
Amalio holds a PhD in Physics at the University of Zaragoza, Spain, and has worked as a postdoc and research fellow in UK institutions since 2010, including Imperial College London, the University of Cambridge, and the University of Glasgow, which he joined in 2018.
