Amanda Callaghan

Professor of Invertebrate Zoology, University of Reading

Professor Amanda Callaghan works in the Ecology and Evolutionary Biology Section of the School of Biological Sciences, University of Reading. Her research spans Entomology, Ecotoxicology, Freshwater Ecology and Mosquito Ecology.

In addition to fundamental ecological research, Amanda has developed biochemical and molecular techniques to study the impact of xenobiotics on invertebrates. Her current projects are 'Biological control of the emerging UK mosquito problem', 'Impact of pond dyes' and 'Effect of microplastics on freshwater invertebrates'
