Ambrogio Volonté

I am a Senior Research Fellow in the Department of Meteorology of the University of Reading. Previously, I obtained my PhD at Reading working on the dynamics of sting jets in extratropical cyclones.

My research interests include weather-systems dynamics, ranging from meso-scale convective features to synoptic-scale cyclones (at any latitudes), monsoon dynamics, Lagrangian air-mass analysis and in general all the process-based studies of weather phenomena. I’m also happy to spend time assisting teaching and supervising.
