Andrea Betti has a Ph.D in International Relations from the School of International Studies at the University of Trento. He was a Professor of Theory of International Relations in various universities in Spain and Latin America. He graduated in Political Science and he holds a Master in International Relations from University of Bologna. He held several research fellowships from the University of Westminster (London) and from the University of California, in its Washington D.C. campus. His main research interests focus on the study of the domestic factors that shape foreign policy, in particular how domestic actors interpret international norms and ideas, such as responsibility to protect, humanitarian intervention, and international justice. Recently, he is conducting research on teaching innovation in Political Science and International Relations. Since 2016, he is Professor of Theory of International Relations in the Department of International Relations of the Pontifical University Comillas, ICAI-ICADE.
