Research fellow, University of Sydney

Andrea is a Daffodil Centre Research Fellow based at the Daffodil Centre, University of Sydney a joint venture with Cancer Council NSW. Her research interests include improving supportive care for people living with metastatic or advanced cancer, in particular metastatic breast cancer. Her current projects include improving access to professionally run metastatic breast cancer support groups, understanding the role and value of the metastatic breast care nurse, increasing attention on metastatic survivorship research in Australia, and understanding how we can improve the reporting of incidence and prevalence of metastatic breast cancer in Australia. As a consumer-researcher living with metastatic breast cancer, she works closely as a consumer advocate with several national and international breast cancer advocacy organisations including Breast Cancer Network Australia and the ABC Global Alliance.
