PhD Student in International Politics, City, University of London

Andrei's research looks at the global governance of food security and explores the impact it has, not just on the livelihoods of small farmers in Sub-Saharan Africa, but also on the formation of functional post-colonial states in the region. It ultimately asks whether the international institutional arrangements that regulate how food circulates around the world are detrimental to development and whether attempts to break the mainstream food regime present any feasibility.

Andrei obtained a BA in Philosophy with a major in European Studies from the University of Bucharest, undertook AY Value Studies from the European College of Liberal Arts Berlin and holds an MA in Postcolonial Culture and Global Policy from Goldsmiths' College, University of London.
