Andrew Costanzo is a researcher in the Centre for Advanced Sensory Science at Deakin University. He holds a PhD in the area of nutrition and sensory science. His area of research is on fat taste as a mechanism for excess consumption of fatty foods. His research projects include the assessment of long-term low-fat and high-fat dietary intake on fat taste sensitivity; heritability of the fat taste trait; and development of novel methodology for the assessment of fat taste sensitivity.
