Andrew Dempster is the Head of Corporate and Government Affairs at Swinburne University of Technology.

In his previous role as a senior adviser to the Commonwealth Minister for Tertiary Education, Andrew advised on Australia’s system of higher education, international education and student entitlements.

Andrew has worked in a number of policy fields at both federal and state levels, including education, health, legal affairs and workplace relations.

He holds honours degrees in psychology and law from the Australian National University and a Master of Management from Macquarie University.
