Angela Bradbery

I worked as a progressive communicator for more than 20 years before joining academia this year. Specifically, I was communications director at Public Citizen in Washington, D.C., for 14 years and had other communications roles there before becoming director. While in D.C., I co-founded a nonprofit advocacy organization, Smokefree DC, and helped lead the successful campaign for a smoke-free workplace law in the District. Prior to that, I was a newspaper reporter for 10 years.
I started in August as the endowed chair in public interest communications at the University of Florida. I am teaching and will be expanding the academic program in public interest communications.
