As a lifelong educator, an author, and a syndicated journalist, I offer graduate degrees in Biology and Educational Leadership. Having worked for over two decades as an educator, from the K-12 realm to the graduate education arena, I have the joy to interact with students from a variety of backgrounds, with an array of experiences. These interactions have helped shape my research toward improving the culture of educational environments for students everywhere. With my most recent articles published in the "International Journal of Educational Leadership Preparation" to the "Journal of Global Education and Research" and the "Journal of Research Initiatives," my work has centered on understanding leadership traits and adjusting the diversity lens so that students' educational opportunities can be maximized. I recently joined the Shackous Honors College at Mississippi State University where I teach undergraduate courses designed to stimulate students' intellectual curiosity and encourage constructive discourse, focused on topics pivotal to 21st century learning.
