Dr. Angela Pyle is an Assistant Professor at the Dr. Eric Jackman Institute of Study in the Department of Applied Psychology and Human Development, OISE at the University of Toronto. Her research centres on the educational experiences of young children with a specific focus on the role of play in children's development and academic learning.

Dr. Pyle's research has been published in national and international journals, and has been recognized through several awards including the American Educational Research Association Early Education & Child Development Early Career Scholar Award, the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education Dean’s Excellence Award, and the Connaught New Scholar Award. Her research has received continuous funding from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada.
