Anika is a Nutritional Epidemiologist at the Nuffield Department of Population Health at University of Oxford. She has a background in Nutrition, holds an MSc in Nutritional Sciences from Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg in Germany and a PhD in Epidemiology and Public Health from University College London (UCL). From 2014 to 2018 Anika was part of the Whitehall II study group and the MoodFOOD project (an multi country collaboration investigating the role of diet and obesity in the prevention of Depression). Her work focused on the bidirectional relationship between diet-related factors and depression over the adult life course. Since summer 2018 she is working at university of Oxford investigating associaitons between animal source food and health.
