Professor of Religion, University of Florida

Anna Peterson is professor in the Department of Religion at the University of Florida. She received her PhD from the University of Chicago Divinity School and her AB from the University of California at Berkeley. Her primary teaching and research interests include social and environmental ethics, religion and social change, and critical animal studies. She has published a number of articles, chapters, and book in these areas. Her current research explores the place of material practice in ethical theory. She is also completing a collaborative book on the social, ethical, and ecological issues raised by outdoor cats.
