Anné H. Verhoef

Associate Professor in Philosophy, North-West University

Anné Hendrik Verhoef is an associate professor in philosophy at the Faculty of Arts at the North-West University’s Potchefstroom Campus. He studied at the University of Stellenbosch and at the Catholic University of Leuven in Belgium. In 2008 he received his doctorate with a thesis on the relation between time and the Trinity. His interests are in ethics, the philosophy of religion, the philosophy of Paul Ricoeur, philosophy of happiness, systematic theology and the philosophy of education. His research focuses mainly on transcendence and the transcendent in contemporary culture. He is the author/co-author of various chapters in books and articles in national and international scientific journals and conference papers. He is a member of the Dutch-Afrikaans Philosophy Society and an associate editor of the journal Transformation in Higher Education.
