Anne is Professor in the Department of Psychology as well as Director of the Center for Community Engagement to advance Scholarship and Learning (CCESL). A scholar-teacher, she works with a team of student researchers to study trauma, particularly intimate violence. Using a community-engaged approach, DePrince works with community partners to identify research questions that can inform policy and practice while advancing our scientific understanding of trauma outcomes and interventions. For example, she works with criminal justice and community-based agencies to identify factors that predict trauma-related outcomes as well as test interventions following intimate violence, including domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking.
