Anneleen Kenis

Anneleen Kenis is a Lecturer in Political Ecology and Environmental Justice at Brunel University London. Her work focusses on the (de)politicisation of environmental issues. She published on these topics in journals like Environmental Politics, Geoforum, Journal of Environmental Policy & Planning, Environment and Planning C, D and E, and co-authored the monograph "The Limits of the Green Economy: From Re-inventing Capitalism to Re-politicising the Present" (Routledge London).

Before joining Brunel, Anneleen held positions as a lecturer in Society and Environment at King’s College London and as a Senior Research Fellow funded by the Research Foundation Flanders (FWO) at the Centre for Sustainable Development at the Ghent University (Belgium) and the Division of Geography at the University of Leuven (Belgium).

She enjoyed visiting scholarships at the Department of Human Geography at Lund University (Sweden), the Environmental Research Group at King’s College London, and the Department of Geography at the University of Cambridge.
